S ajjad Naseer is currently serving as a Senior Fellow and Professor of Political Science at the Lahore School of Economics, Pakistan and has served twice as chairperson of Political Science Department, Punjab University. As a consultant for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development, he handled various governance-related assignments.
He is a regular guest speaker at the prestigious National Institutions in Pakistan and is a political analyst in both print and electronic media home and abroad. His recent publications include two chapters in the books; Building Trust in Government, edited by G. Shabbir Cheema and Vasselin Popovski (2010) and Pakistans Quagmire: Security, Strategy and the Future of the Islamic Nuclear Nation, edited by Usama Butt and N. Elahi (2010). There are other research articles which appeared in the professional journals.
S ajjad Naseer has written articles on various topics that are published in books, newspapers and research journals. His recent publications include: chapter, In a book entitled ‘Building trust in Government, Edited by Shabbir Cheema, Vesselin Popovski, UN University, Tokyo 2010. He wrote a chapter in a book entitled, Pakistan’s Quagmire: Security Strategy and the future of Islamic- Nuclear Nation, edited by Usama Butt, Continuum Press, New York 2010.
He was also a Senior Fulbright Fellow, Shaw University, North Carolina, USA (1988-1989). He gave a seminar at Oxford University (St. Anthony's College) on the emerging dynamics in South Asia after 1990.(1996).
He also taught a semester course on the 'Rise of Fundamentalism: A comparative study of Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan’ at the Institute Orientale, Naples, Italy, (2001).
